Former Arsenal star Stewart Robson has backed Manchester City midfielder Rodri for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Robson believes that Manchester City and Spain would not have won their recent trophies without Rodri.
The former Premier League star told ESPN that the Spain international was outplayed in just one match last season, being the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
“I would go with Rodri personally because he dominates games. He was beaten only in one game and that was the cup final.
“He’s an inspiration for his club and country. Without him, Man City or Spain wouldn’t have won the titles [they won].”
The battle for this year’s ballon d’Or award is between Manchester City’s Rodri, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham.
