- NEC is currently recruiting for various positions:
- Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
- Presiding Officer (PO)
- Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)
- Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
- Registration Area Center (RAC) Manager
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Serving corps member, penultimate student of a Federal/State tertiary institution, permanent staff of an MDA with an OND, INEC permanent staff on Grade Level 07 & 08, or a former corps member (not later than 2021).
- Must not be a political party member or have demonstrated support for any candidate or party.
- Must reside in the selected state.
Things to Have Before Application
Before applying, ensure you have:
- Functional email address and mobile phone number.
- Personal bank account number.
- Recent, white background passport photograph (not larger than 5MB).
- Contact details of two referees.
- Valid Staff ID No./Student ID No.
- NYSC Call-up Number for former corps members (not earlier than 2018) and current corps members (2024).
- Copy of highest qualification in .pdf format.
- Copy of means of identification in .jpg or .jpeg format.
Application Process
- Review the requirements for the available positions.
- Register on the INEC portal and create a password.
- Complete the application form with personal, contact, and bank details.
- Upload a recent passport photograph.
- Fill in the details of your referees.
- Check the attestation box and submit the application.
- Print the acknowledgment slip for final verification.
Training
Selected candidates will undergo training to familiarize themselves with their roles and responsibilities. This training will cover election procedures, voter education, and the use of any necessary technology.
