Niger Tornadoes seek NPFL’s approval for return to home ground

Niger Tornadoes have expressed optimism on getting the approval to play their home matches at the Bako Kontagora Stadium before the commencement of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The Ikon Allah Boys adopted the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna as their temporary home ground last season.

Chairman of the club, Ibrahim Dada revealed that renovation works at the ground has been completed.

“All the dressing room, the spectators stands, the substitute bench and the pitch have all been worked upon and are ready to be used,” he stated to the media.

“The inspection team are coming to the check on the Stadium before the league starts and we are hopeful of getting the approval to play in Minna again.”

Nigeria Tornadoes managed to escape relegation last season.
