CAF Champions League: Rangers claim slim first-leg win against US Zilimadjou

Nigerian champions Rangers started their CAF Champions League campaign with a 1-0 away win against US Zilimadjou of Comoros.

It was the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side scored the winning goal through Frank Uwumiro in the 22nd minute.

Rangers had other chances but were denied by the host goalkeeper.

The two teams will clash in the reverse fixture next Sunday.

The encounter will hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
