Five Edo Queens players have been named in the Team of the Tournament at the just concluded WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire.
The players are Emem Essien, Valentino Uroko, Suliat Abideen, Vera Samuel and Ijeoma Uzoma.
Edo Queens hammered Beniniose side Ainonvi FC 3-0 in the competition’s final.
They are the third Nigerian club to win the competition.
The Nigerian side picked the sole ticket for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The tournament is scheduled to take place later in the year.
