Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said that his team is desperate to have Jurrien Timber back to the club’s first-team training.
Timber’s return comes as a boost for Arteta’s side as they prepare to take on Wolves in their Premier League opener this weekend.
The 23-year-old defender signed for the Gunners last summer but missed almost the entire 2023-2024 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury on the opening day of the season.
Timber eventually returned against Everton on the final day of last season.
He was part of Arteta’s squad for the US pre-season tour.
“We’re all desperate to have him [Timber] on that pitch.
“His leadership, his skills, his composure, the way he competes, his intelligence – I think he’s going to bring so much to the team. We’re gonna love him,” Arteta told Sky Sports, according to Fabrizio Romano.
