Transfer: Maresca banishes 3 Chelsea players from first-team squad

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has banned Trevor Chalobah from the first-team group.

The 25-year-old was dropped for the pre-season tour squad and has accepted his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

Chalobah, who came through the Blues’ academy, is already attracting attention from Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

The defender has been training with the Under-21 development squad and played in their friendly against Boreham Wood.

According to The Telegraph, Chalobah has been joined in training with the Under-21s by Armando Broja and Romelu Lukaku, who are set to follow him out of the exit door.

Earlier this week, Maresca admitted the club is being forced to sell their homegrown talents, because of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.
