Bundesliga: Onyeka commences training with Augsburg

Frank Onyeka trained with his Augsburg teammates for the first time on Friday.

DAILY POST reports that the Nigeria international joined the Bundesliga club on a season-long loan deal from Brentford on transfer deadline day.

Onyeka joined Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda after penning his contract with the Fuggerstädter.

The defensive midfielder returned to the club after the international break on Thursday.

Augsburg announced his involvement in training on their X account.

“Hello, Frank! ✌ Our new addition was on the pitch for team training for the first time today! ,” reads the short message.

The 26-year-old is in line to make his debut for the club against St. Pauli this weekend.
