Heartland readmitted to NPFL, Beyond Limits demoted

Heartland will compete in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the new season despite their relegation last term.

The Naze Millionaires will take the slot of Beyond Limits Academy in the NPFL.

Beyond Limits Academy gained promotion to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season.

The Ikenne club had to relinquish their slot as they share the same owner with Remo Stars.

Two teams having the same owner constitutes a breach of Rule B11.4 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.

The NPFL stated that Heartland met the requirements set by its board and was the only relegated club to express interest in filling the vacancy.
