NPFL: Ogunmodede picks positives from Remo Stars derby win over Sunshine

Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede believes the South Derby clash against Sunshine Stars lived up to expectations.

The Sky Blue Stars secured the maximum points in the game.

Shuaib Ibrahim got the only goal in the game against Sunshine Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

Ogunmodede admitted that it was an extremely tough battle.

“It’s a tough game, extremely tough one maybe because it’s a derby,” Ogunmodede told Remo Stars media.

“Not a fantastic game from the players but a good game. We got an early goal and after that they came at us with lots of confidence.

“The most important is that the South West Derby came with the intensity needed, we need to feed people well with our football they were able to see in the game not a weaker side dealing with a strong team.

“Both teams show good quality. I must commend both teams for their display.”
