Super Eagles: Ogunmodede ‘honoured’ to serve as assistant coach

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede says he is honoured to serve in the Super Eagles technical crew.

Ogunmodede and his Rangers counterpart, Fidelis Ilechukwu were drafted in to assist caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The Super Eagles defeated the Cheetahs 3-0 in their first game, while they played out a 0-0 draw with Amavubi in the second fixture.

The young tactician also charged supporters to remain positive ahead of the team’s upcoming fixture against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.

“I am Deeply Honored to Have Answered the Call to Serve Our Beloved Country,” Ogunmodede wrote on X.

“Let’s Remain Positive and United in Our Pursuit of Success…Together, We Can Be Better.”

He will be in the dugout when Remo Stars take on Sunshine Stars in a South West derby on Sunday.
