Tinubu to attend National MSME Conference 2024

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be attending the National Micro, Small Medium-sized Enterprises Conference 2024.

This was disclosed in a statement by The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN on Wednesday.

The agency said the conference is scheduled to take place on the 3rd and 5th of October 2024 to drive the growth of small businesses in Nigeria.

With the theme, “GROW NIGERIAN: Sustaining an Innovation and Digital-Driven Economy”, the event will witness the convergence of entrepreneurs and investors.

Commenting on the development, Charles Odii, Director-General of SMEDAN, described the event as the most significant convergence of entrepreneurs, policymakers, enablers, public-private sector stakeholders, and supporting institutions in Nigeria’s SME ecosystem.

This comes as businesses in Nigeria grapple with rising energy costs and foreign exchange fluctuations.

In August 2024, the National Bureau of Statistics said the Country’s inflation stood at 32.15 percent.
