Udinese goalie Maduka Okoye backs Rangers to retain NPFL title

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has tipped Rangers to retain the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title.

The Flying Antelopes won the NPFL title for the eighth time last season.

Okoye believed that the club have all its takes to win the title again.

The Udinese shot stopper also expressed his affection for the eight-time NPFL champions.

“When I was younger my dad used to come back from Nigeria with Rangers shirts when he visited so that’s the only team I’ve supported from here,” Okoye to AjSilver.

“I heard they won the title last season so I think they can do it again.”

Okoye is currently preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
