In a post on X, he congratulated Nigerian-born Dr. Peter O. Nwosu on his historic appointment. According to him, Dr. Nwosu’s inauguration occured on the September 27 marking a milestone as the first African-born president and immigrant to lead the 163-year-old institution.

He partly wrote, “I sincerely congratulate the Nigerian-born Dr. Peter O. Nwosu, on his landmark achievement of emerging as the 11th and first black President of the State University of New York at Oswego, United States.”

 

He further praised Dr. Nwosu’s passion for education and his inspiration to youths, emphasizing its importance for societal development. He urged Nigerian leaders to prioritize education investment, citing it as the best investment for citizens.
