Tinubu confers national awards on Akpabio, Abbas, Kekere-Ekun, Kalu

President Bola Tinubu has conferred the honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) on Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Chief Justice of the Federation, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

The president made the declaration while addressing Nigerians Tuesday morning to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day.

His words: “The Senate President and the Chief Justice of the Federation have been conferred with the honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).”

He also announced that the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass have the honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).

Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House was awarded Commander of the Order of Niger (CON) as part of the national honours awards.
