Southampton manager, Russell Martin reckoned Joe Aribo was one of the positives for his side in Wednesday’s heavy defeat to Chelsea.
Aribo cancelled out Axel Disasi’s opening goal for Chelsea early on.
It was the 28-year-old’s second league goal of the season.
The midfielder opened his goal account for the campaign against Leicester City on October 19.
The Blues, however, ran riot afterwards scoring four more goals to confine the hosts to another defeat.
“I learned a lot about some people and I thought Nathan Wood was outstanding on his debut, James Bree was excellent coming into the team for us,” Martin said after the game.
“Joe Aribo was the same, the guys that have come in from not playing so much were really outstanding and I’m proud of them for that.”
