Kano Pillars technical adviser, Usman Abdallah has expressed concern over the absence of key players for his team’s matchday 17 clash with Shooting Stars.

The Sai Masu Gida side will miss the services of Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Zulkifilu Muhammed, and Sudais Ali Baba in the game.

Rabiu Ali, Nelson Abiam and Aminu Adam Sani will also miss the game due to national team engagement.

Defender Habibu Yakubu is also ruled out due to card accumulation.

Abdallah is however optimistic of a strong performance from his young squad.

“Playing without our key players such as Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Rabiu Ali, and others is a big miss,” Abdallah stated in a pre-match interview.

“It’s not easy for any team, including us. However, I believe the younger players have learned a lot from their seniors, and this is their chance to show their quality.”
