In a recent statement via his official X account, Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, has said Peter Obi will win more than 80% of votes in the Southeast in the 2027 elections. Amadi was reacting to the massive crowd that welcomed Obi at the Chrism Mass held at Christ the King Cathedral (CKC) in Aba, Abia State.He said it does not matter which party the Southeast governors belong to, according to him, the people of the region are united in their support for Peter Obi.
He noted that people from the Southeast often disagree on many issues, but in Obi’s case, they speak with one voice.Amadi said no other politician has that kind of acceptance in the region.
“I do not know what to make of this. But no matter the party any Governor in the Southeast joins, Peter will win more than 80% of the votes in that state. South easterners rarely have a consensus on anything. They have only this one: Peter Obi. No one else enjoys this acceptance,” Amadi wrote.The statement came after videos and photos from the Mass showed a large crowd gathered to see Peter Obi.
