2027: Wike’s Boastfulness Will End And He Shall Eat The Humble Pie When The Time Comes—Dele Momodu by Citynobs May 13, 2025, 3:39 pm A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over his recent comment on the party’s 2027 presidential ticket, as reported by DAILY POST. Momodu disagreed with Wike’s claim that the PDP will not give its presidential ticket to the North in 2027. Momodu said Wike was not helping the party with such statements. He said he is working to build the PDP, not divide it and described Wike as boastful and warned that his pride would not last forever. He questioned Wike’s authority to speak on behalf of the party. Momodu asked when Wike became the Chief Justice of Nigeria to interpret the Constitution as he likes. He said Wike talks about justice, but he is not consistent and asked when Wike truly started caring about fairness within the party. Momodu also criticized the journalists who attended Wike’s press briefing. He said they failed to challenge Wike’s words and wondered why none of them asked Wike if he once wanted to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate. According to Momodu, Wike’s anger is rooted in the past, believing Wike is upset because he was not chosen as the vice presidential candidate in 2023. History has taught the world that Nyesom Wike’s boastfulness will end and he shall eat the humble pie when the time comes.” “When did he become the Chief Justice of Nigeria that he can misinterpret our Constitution as he wishes. He said the North will not be allowed to pick the next Presidential ticket of PDP and that he is fighting for justice,” he said.
