At approximately 10:35 a.m., Governor Alia’s convoy reached the secretariat. Workers and commissioners who arrived for work later were barred out because of the governor’s convoy.
Governor Alia addressed the civil staff who were locked out, saying: “My work is not for myself; rather, it is for people who are unaware that I am the governor and for people who may not even recognize me when they see me. I am appealing to you because I have the authority to quickly obtain your identities and fire you. However, I am warning you about the hazards of what you are doing in my capacity as a priest rather than as governor.
I am speaking to you because I do not want you to be doomed. “See what you can do to help, if not yourselves, those you are caring for and those behind you because they are the ones who take the heat of the circle you have created.” “It is not about me.
