Kano: NSCDC arrests job scammer over N1.2m fraud

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Kano has apprehended a job racketeer that specialized in defrauding people of their hard earned money with phantom employment in Kano State government ministries.

The Sector PRO, Ibrahim Abdullahi said, the suspect, Mu’azu Mohammed Ibrahim, 32, resident of Sagagi quarters, Kano Municipal LGA, was arrested after weeks of intense surveillance.

This followed complaints lodged by individuals, mostly women, who had been duped by the suspect of about N1.2 million.

The suspect lured his victims with a pretence that he’s a key government official and can secure employment for them in government MDAs, a promise which eventually turned out to be untrue.

The NSCDC said investigation has been concluded and the suspect will be charged to court by the Corps legal Unit.
