Transfer: Man United identify Casemiro’s replacement

Manchester United have continued in their search for a midfielder to replace Casemiro.

The Red Devils have now identified Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who could join before the closure of the summer transfer window.

Football journalist, Alfred Pedulla reports that the Red Devils have submitted a bid of around £42.6 million to secure the services of the Serie A star.

Casemiro has failed to live up to the expection of the club’s fans and is not expected to remain at the club beyond this season.

Erik ten Hag’s side are looking for a midfield partner for Kobbie Mainoo.

These links to Ederson stem from the continued search for a new midfielder to partner Kobbie Mainoo at Old Trafford.

After Casemiro failed to live up to expectations in the previous campaign, Erik ten Hag is seemingly searching for alternatives to the former Real Madrid star.

As a result, the Red Devils are also said to hold a serious interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
