The suspects were captured on Monday by Okigwe divisional agents working with Ogii community members, according to Commands Spokesperson Henry Okoye. Okoye further disclosed that during questioning, one of the suspects, Patrick Okoere, claimed that his uncle had asked him to obtain a human skull, which he claimed had been discovered on a riverbank along the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway.
He stated: “On 3/02/2025, Okigwe divisional headquarters officers, working with Ogii community members, arrested three suspects who were found in possession of a human skull, a native hen, and white clothing along the Okigwe-Umuahia Express Road as part of the Imo State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities in the state.”
“An investigation is presently underway into the three people who were arrested: Chukwuemeka Onyekachi (20), Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka (28), and Patrick Okoere (29).” Patrick claimed during interrogation that he had been requested to obtain a human skull by his uncle, Osunta Oko. The command has received reports of kidnappings in the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway, where he said he discovered it beside a riverside.
In relation to this unsettling incidence, Osunta Oko and other potential collaborators are being relentlessly pursued by the Imo State Police Command.
