EPL: Chelsea identify two players to sign as Osimhen’s alternative

Chelsea have reportedly identified two players to sign as Victor Osimhen’s alternatives.

The Blues’ bid to sign Osimhen could be derailed by the striker’s staggering wage demands.

The Premier League west London club are keen to sign a proven goalscorer up top, with Osimhen a long-time target for them.

Osimhen has asked to leave Napoli this summer and with Paris Saint-Germain withdrawing their interest, Chelsea have been working hard to agree a deal to land the The Nigeria international.

Talks with Osimhen’s representatives have been ongoing for some weeks but according to The Sun, there is still no agreement in sight.

The report added that Osimhen is demanding a salary which would make him the highest paid player [around £500,000-a-week] in the Premier League and as a result Chelsea are looking at other options with attackers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Federico Chiesa under consideration.

Calvert-Lewin has one year left on his contract at Everton, while Chiesa is free to leave Juventus this summer.
