Obi was strongly cautioned just three months ago not to travel to Shiloh 2026 or meet Oyedepo because of the controversy his comments caused. A notable presence in the Glory Dome was made by Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s previous presidential candidate in the 2023 election. He joined other esteemed religious leaders in worship on Thursday, February 13, the day the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) commemorated its historic 40th anniversary.
Not content to stop there, Obi also went to Abuja for the PFN Biennial 18th Conference, where Bishop David Oyedepo gave a powerful and thought-provoking speech titled “Towards a Rebirth of the Church.” On the internet, there are pictures of Obi with prominent Christian leaders, including Bishop Dr. Ransom Bello, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, Bishop David Abioye, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Bishop David Bakare, Cosmas Ilechukwu, and others.

The warning stemmed from the criticism of his contentious position on night vigils as “night shifts” and his denunciation of the unbridled growth of churches in Nigeria.
