Armed bandits attacked travelers along the Lambar Rabah to Mai-Kujera road in Sokoto State on Wednesday night, killing one person, abducting several others, and setting vehicles ablaze.
The incident was disclosed in a post by security analyst, Bakatsine on his official X handle on Thursday.
According to him, the assailants barricaded the road, stopping vehicles before unleashing violence on commuters.
“The bandits blocked the highway, forced vehicles to stop, and launched their attack, killing one person, abducting several others, and burning multiple vehicles,” Bakatsine wrote.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
