The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye, has charged three newly promoted senior officers to see their elevation as a call to greater responsibility, urging them to lead by example in their service to the nation.
The officers, who were recently promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), include ACP Emmanuel Ojo, Area Commander Ayingba; ACP Peter Essien; and ACP Ali Anslem, AC Operations.
Speaking during their decoration ceremony at the Kogi state command headquarters, CP Dantawaye emphasized that their promotion was a recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
“Your new ranks come with greater responsibility and leadership expectations. This is not just an elevation in title but a call to serve with more diligence and integrity. You must lead by example and ensure that no distress arises from your jurisdictions under your watch,” he said.
He further urged the officers to maintain professionalism in their assignments and work closely with the Command’s management team to enhance security and law enforcement in Kogi State.
“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to rewarding excellence and ensuring that hardworking officers are motivated to serve with courage and discipline. I encourage you to continue setting high standards in policing and remain vigilant in your respective capacities,” he added.
The event was attended by senior officers, family members, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the officers’ career milestones.
