How I spent three days in Kogi, slept in Dangote factory during Natasha’s wedding – Akpabio

President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday claimed that he slept inside the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, during the wedding ceremony of the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Akpabio stated this during plenary at the upper legislative chamber while lawmakers were deliberating on the sexual harassment allegation leveled against him by Natasha.

The Senate President described Natasha’s husband as his good friend and brother, stating that he spent three days in Kogi during the wedding.

He said, “Natasha is the wife of my very good friend and brother—or so I thought. On the day of her marriage, I slept in Kogi, in her house.

“The next day, I ran to Obajana airport, but I missed my flight because the plane could not land since there was no light. I ended up sleeping at the Dangote Cement factory, so I spent three days.”

DAILY POST reports that the Senate has suspended Natasha for six months without pay following the allegations against Akpabio.
