Despite winning the first leg of their last-16 match 1-0, former France international Bacary Sagna has predicted that Paris Saint-Germain will eliminate Liverpool from the UEFA Champions League. “I think Arsenal is performing admirably. Sagna told talkSPORT, “Some people were disappointed because they were expecting the team to be a bit closer [to Liverpool] at this time.” It’s not over, of course. Although it will be challenging to catch Liverpool, after watching their match against Paris Saint-Germain, I’m thinking that perhaps they will experience periods of poor performance.
Arsenal might be able to close the gap and catch up at this point. Although the distance is wide now, it might be narrowed. You never know. The atmosphere will be depressing after Paris advances to the Champions League stage, in my opinion. Liverpool’s current success can be attributed to their results, but you never know.
