Transfer: Iheanacho signs five-year contract with Portuguese club

Former Golden Eaglets striker, Stanley Iheanacho has sealed a move to Liga Portugal 2 outfit, Clube Deportivo de Mafra.

Iheanacho linked up with CD Mafra from Danish Superliga side, FC Midtylland.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year contract with his new club, until June 2029.

The youngster scored four goals on his debut for FC Midtylland in a Cup clash against Aabenraa BK in September 2023.

Iheanacho however failed to make a league appearance for the multiple Superliga champions.

The forward played a key role in Midtylland’s side that won the U-19 youth league last season.

He scored 12 goals in 22 appearances, and also played four matches in the UEFA Youth League.
