Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso held several consultative meetings to discuss working together to present a unified front.
Keep in mind that former Vice President Atiku stated he was trying to unite all opposition political players to form a front against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, while also denying rumors that he was leaving the PDP. El-Rufai, who was instrumental in securing votes for President Bola Tinubu in the North West, also defected from the APC.
Ologbondiyan said on Monday’s AIT Focus program that the opposition leaders will provide ideas that would inspire Nigerians. According to the former PDP spokesman, the opposition party leaders’ proposals will make it simple to overthrow the existing administration. “What is coming is heavy,” he remarked. That’s all I want to say. It’s going to be heavy. The opposition figures’ willingness and preparedness to unite is what matters.
