“I took a political risk because I felt Nigeria needed a new direction,” Amaechi said. “It wasn’t about Goodluck Jonathan as a person. I simply believed the country deserved better governance—more accountability, stronger leadership, and less tolerance for mismanagement.”
Despite stepping back from frontline politics in recent years, Amaechi’s occasional public appearances and speeches keep him in the spotlight, especially as Nigeria approaches another critical election cycle.
