Eguavoen, Peseiro, Rohr reunite at African Coaches Symposium

Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen and two former handlers of the team, Gernot Rohr and Jose Peseiro reunited at the African Coaches Symposium in Abidjan on Thursday.

Peseiro, who led the Super Eagles to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, was one of the panelists at the two-day event.

The Portuguese left the post following the expiration of his contract in February.

Rohr, whose tenure of five years and 55 matches is the longest ever by any coach in Nigeria, is currently in charge of the Benin Republic national team.

The Cheetahs lost 3-0 to the Super Eagles in a 2025 AFCON qualifier last week.

Eguavoen is currently having another interim stint in charge of the Super Eagles.
