During the Senate ethics committee hearing on the sexual harassment claim against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Akpoti-Uduaghan argued that Ezekwesili absorbed the insults directed at her by Nwaebonyi, the member representing Ebonyi North, on behalf of all women.
At the panel discussing a new petition that Akpoti-Uduaghan had filed against the Senate President, Ezekwesili and Nwaebonyi got into a verbal sparring match. When the former minister urged the congressman to stop talking during the panel, a crisis erupted. “Dr. @obyezeks, Ma’am, I apologise for the insults,” Akpoti-Uduaghan wrote on X in response to the face-off.
