NPFL: Babaganaru disappointed with Akwa United’s home loss to Sunshine

Akwa United head coach, Mohammed Babaganaru has labelled his side’s home loss to Sunshine Stars disappointing and unbelievable.

The Promise Keepers fell to a 2-1 defeat against Sunshine Stars at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.

It was Akwa United’s first defeat of the season.

The former Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL champions are still without a win after four matches.

“I can’t believe that we lost at home to Sunshine Stars after all the effort we made. I totally understand that in the game of football, there are three results but we didn’t deserve the result we got because it was not the true reflection of what transpired,” Babaganaru told the club’s official website.

“We created many goal-scoring opportunities but how we didn’t bury those chances is what I don’t understand.”
