Edo election: PDP supporters protest at INEC office

Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have picketed the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Benin City, Edo State, protesting the outcome of the just concluded governorship election.

The protesters, carrying placards with various inscriptions and chanting slogans, demanded a reversal of the election results announced by INEC.

This is coming amid INEC’s declaration of Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the election.

PDP supporters alleged that the results were marred by irregularities, including vote buying and manipulation at some polling units.
