My Mother-in-Law Warned Me to Submit to My Wife Because She’s a Leader in Marine Kingdom – Omosowon Revealed

Yoruba Nollywood actor and filmmaker Temitope Omosowon has revealed startling details about his troubled marriage, including a bizarre warning from his mother-in-law. Speaking in an interview on the Talk to B Podcast with Biola Adebayo, Omosowon revealed that his marriage to the mother of his child, Okiki, began with high hopes but quickly spiraled into a series of regrettable experiences.

Although he made legal commitments to the union and even organized a proper wedding ceremony, he now views the entire marriage with regret. The actor recounted a specific incident where a disagreement between him and his wife led her to involve her elder brother, a politician, who then allegedly deployed police officers to their home in an attempt to arrest him. Alerted by a friend just in time, Omosowon escaped. Seeking resolution, he approached his wife’s mother but was met with an even more disturbing response.

Rather than mediate fairly, she allegedly advised him to submit fully to his wife because of her supposed spiritual authority. This, she explained, was due to her daughter being a leader in a marine spiritual realm—a revelation that left Omosowon stunned.

He said: “I had a misunderstanding with my wife and she went to report me to her elder brother who called the police to follow her to our home so that they could arrest me. I had to escape through the backdoor and later that day, I went to her family’s house and reported to her mother, but what she said was even worse. She told me that I should be submissive to my wife because she is a leader in the marine kingdom.”
