In a live coverage by TVC, General Musa said that Ruth had made several allegations against various individuals who tried to assist her, including himself and the current Chief of Army Staff. He emphasized that he had never met Ruth personally. He said when her accusations were brought to attention, proper procedures were followed and Ruth was assessed by medical professionals who determined that she had a mental health issue. He said based on this, she was discharged from the army.
