BREAKING: Hours After Vigilantes Killed Several Bandits, Angry Members Carry Out Deadly Revenge On Villagers by Citynobs May 4, 2025, 2:53 am According to DAILY POST,bandits carried out another revenge attack early Wednesday morning in Yar Tashar Sahabi village, located in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.During the attack, the bandits burnt down shops and vehicles and stole animals from the villagers. Local people said the attack came after local vigilantes killed several bandits in an ambush on Sunday and took back some stolen cattle. “They came before sunrise, set fire to our shops and vehicles, and took our animals,” a resident told reporters. Security forces in nearby Magami responded quickly and pushed back the attackers, stopping them from causing more damage. This attack is one of many revenge attacks happening across Zamfara State lately. In Tsafe Local Government Area, many villages have also been attacked in recent weeks. Flashing back on a similar occurrence earlier last month, bandits attacked Keta village after the death of a gang leader known as Dan Isuhu. One person was killed, 11 vehicles were burned, and shops were looted. On that same day, gunmen attacked Gidan Arne, killed two people, and kidnapped over 40 women. The police in Zamfara, through their spokesperson DSP Yazid Abubakar, said they had not received a report on the Yar Tashar Sahabi attack yet but would contact the local police division for details.
