Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has hinted that Emile Smith Rowe could be on his way out of the club.
Smith Rowe was not involved in the Gunners’ pre-season game with Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
It is understood Fulham are in advanced talks with Arsenal over the 23-year-old.
The fee involved is around £35m, which would be a club record transfer for the Cottagers.
When asked about Smith Rowe’s future after the game, Arteta said: “There are things happening in the background at the moment.
“We decided the best thing to do was to keep him away from the game today.”
