Sunshine Stars interim coach, Bobola Akinfolarin has blamed his players for their wastefulness in the rescheduled matchday 13 fixture against Enyimba.
The Owena Waves held Enyimba to a goalless draw in Aba on Wednesday.
Akinfolarin said they went into the game with the intention of getting maximum points.
“I thank God for the result but our plan was to come here, pick the maximum points against Enyimba International,” Akinfolarin told Sunshine Stars media after the game.
“We would have been 3-0 ahead in the first half but we were wasteful in front of goal.”
Sunshine Stars moved up to 17th position on the league table with 18 points.
