Akwa United resume training for new NPFL season

Akwa United have resumed pre-season training ahead of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The Promise Keepers had embarked on a four-week break after the completion of the last campaign.

The players returned to training at the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday.

The training session was overseen by head coach Muhammad Babaganaru.

The team is expected to take part in a series of friendly matches before the start of the new season.

Akwa United will lock horns with Lobi Stars in their matchday one fixture of the new NPFL season.

The new season will kick-off on Saturday, August 31.
