CAFWCL: Aduku satisfied with Edo Queens performance in win over CBE FC

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku claimed his side deserved the win over Commercial Bank FC of Ethiopia.

The Nigerian champions defeated CBE FC 3-0 in their maiden outing at the CAF Women’s Champions League in Casablanca on Sunday night.

Emem Essien, Folashade Ijamilusi and Chukwuamaka Osigwe were on target for Edo Queens in the game.

Aduku heaped plaudits on his players for sticking to their game plan.

”We played a wonderful game, the victory was sweet, we got our chances and we took them,” he told the club’s media.

” The game was very tough, our opponent is not a pushover, we denied them the opportunity to play and tried to impose our game, we got the opportunity, and scored.

” If you must stay in the competition, you need to win your first game, that was our mindset.

” As a debutant, we believe, if we win, we have the opportunity to move ahead.”
Edo Queens will face FC Masar of Egypt in their next game on Wednesday.
