JUST IN: “There’s Nothing Like Three Wise Men” – Johnson Suleman Corrects Popular Biblical Misconceptions

 

 

Apostle Johnson Suleman, founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International, has debunked one of the most widely held beliefs about the nativity story — the notion of “three wise men.”Speaking during the Miracle Easter Service, Apostle Suleman clarified that the Bible never specified the number of wise men who visited Jesus after His birth.“There’s nothing like three wise men,” Suleman stated emphatically. “The Bible says, ‘the wise men.’ It never said ‘three wise men.’ We invented that ourselves.”

He explained that many believers have blindly followed this assumption simply because it has been repeated over time in Christmas stories, carols, and nativity scenes. “Sometimes when you come out to say certain truths, people don’t understand; they react,” he said. “Because people like to remain listening to what they are used to.” According to Apostle Suleman, the assumption of three wise men likely originated from the mention of three types of gifts — gold, frankincense, and myrrh — presented to the baby Jesus. However, he argued that the number of gifts does not indicate the number of givers.

“Twenty people can gather together to buy three gifts. Fifty people can gather to bring three gifts,” he noted. “The Bible only said ‘wise men came from the East’ — no number was mentioned.” Suleman emphasized the need for biblical accuracy and urged Christians to examine Scriptures themselves rather than depend solely on traditions or popular portrayals. “This is why we must read the Bible for ourselves,” he urged. “Don’t just follow what is popular. Follow what is written.” According to him, Christians must be committed to truth, even when it challenges commonly held beliefs.
