On Saturday, April 19, a devastating incident occurred at a three-story building on Oremeta Street in Berger, Lagos, where a man became trapped in his car when the structure collapsed.An eyewitness, who preferred to remain anonymous, recounted the tragic event in an interview early Sunday morning.The eyewitness revealed that a family of three had been enjoying a meal at a restaurant located within the building shortly before the disaster unfolded.

The eyewitness noted that the wife and their young son had briefly stepped outside while the husband remained in the parking area to retrieve something from his car. He was inside the vehicle when the building unexpectedly collapsed, and, tragically, he did not escape. According to report from THE NATION, The witness said, “He was in the car when the building suddenly came down. He didn’t make it out.” This incident serves as a poignant reminder of how quickly life can change and the unpredictability of safety.
