Former AC Milan manager, Fabio Capello says Samuel Chukwueze is yet to hit top form at the club.
Chukwueze arrived the San Siro last summer with high expectations, having registered 37 goals and 31 assists in 207 appearances for La Liga club, Villarreal.
The Nigerian has, however, failed to command a regular playing berth at the former European champions.
The winger has scored six goals and registered four assists in 56 games across all competitions for AC Milan.
Capello claimed Chukwueze is yet to click since arriving in Italy.
“I think that a tall attacking winger capable of making the difference was essential. In the past, Milan has always pushed more to the left and it would have been useful to balance with a similar player on the right,” the former Real Madrid coach said per Milan it.
“Unfortunately, Chukwueze has never really clicked and there is no alternative with similar characteristics.”
