According to Adejobi;
“Raining direct curses on someone online is cyber bullying, not expression of freedom or criticism. And cyber bullying, which is even different from defamation, is a criminal offence and punishable. Be guided”.
Reacting, SERAP stated that ECOWAS Court has declared Section 24 of the Nigeria’s Cybercrime Act as vague, arbitrary and unlawful.
According to SERAP on its official X handle;
“The ECOWAS Court, in a case filed by SERAP, has declared Section 24 of the Nigeria’s Cybercrime Act Vague, Arbitrary, and Unlawful. The court ruled that section 24 violates the rule of law and human rights standards.
