According to LEADERSHIP, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State branch has cautioned its members from doing any activities that will make President Bola Tinubu or the National Working Committee (NWC) seem bad. The party’s leader in the state, Chief Tony Okocha, declared that any member found guilty of such behavior will be dismissed right away.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
The warning came during an event in Port Harcourt on Sunday, held as part of Okocha’s birthday celebration.
The occasion also included the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable widows in his community.
Okocha stressed the importance of loyalty to the party and its leadership and reminded members of his earlier call for unity and collaboration within the party but expressed disappointment at those acting against its interests.
He criticized individuals using their financial or legal influence to undermine the party’s authority, stating that such behavior would not be tolerated.
He added that those unwilling to connect with the party’s principles should leave instead of causing internal crisis.
“You know that the day I was sworn into office, I extended olive branch to everybody; I said, come, let us work together. Where it becomes impossible and they are embarrassing the President; I will not sit down and allow them embarrass Mr. President. The APC is Mr. President’s political party.”
“I will not sit down here to see them do that thing, I will expel them. It is a political party. If the kitchen is too hot; what do you do? You leave,” he said.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
