Pastor Adeboye then turned to John 11:39–44, the story of the resurrection of Lazarus. He pointed out that when Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb after he had been dead for four days, Jesus didn’t speak softly.
Pastor Adeboye encouraged the congregation to take hold of the power in their own declarations, knowing that when they speak in faith, it is with the same authority that God used when He created the universe and raised the dead.
According to him, “Daddy spoke to me this afternoon while I was praying. He said when He declared, “Let there be light,” He didn’t whisper—it was a command. He was loud and clear when He said, “Let there be light. And He told me to look at John 11:39–44. When Lazarus had been dead for four days, and Jesus called him out, Jesus didn’t speak quietly.
