Sources close to the situation revealed that the disagreement, initially minor, escalated quickly. In an act of retaliation, Sarah reportedly set her husband ablaze at their residence on Igboore Street in Iperu around 10:00 a.m.
Abidemi, who suffered serious burns, was rushed to Bolawatife Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, he is in stable condition, though the extent of his injuries remains serious. The attack has left the local community stunned, as there had been no prior reports of violence between the couple.
Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that Sarah Ayinde had fled the scene immediately after the attack. The police are treating the case as an attempted murder and have launched an investigation to locate the suspect. Efforts to apprehend Sarah are ongoing.
